The Power of Perseverance
"I was born in a small village in Liberia, West Africa and attended missionary school for my elementary education. Thereafter I attended school in the capital city of Monrovia. I worked in radio broadcasting following graduation from high school. I also had the honor of working for the president of Liberia as a junior private secretary.
I moved to the U.S. to attend Lebanon Valley College and and played soccer for the Flying Dutchman. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and moved to Maryland in 1982. I worked for Graul’s Market for over 22 years and was introduced to Gerstell Academy by a young co-worker. I have been working for Gerstell in the Facilities department for over 13 years and enjoy interacting with my co-workers and students on a daily basis.
My life story is one of overcoming adversity and embracing challenges. I have been blessed to have many people supporting and encouraging me over the years."
