Author Stuart Gibbs to Visit Gerstell

Mrs. Katie Menges, Library Media Specialist, has invited author Stuart Gibbs to visit Gerstell Academy on Tuesday, October 2. Mr. Gibbs is the author of the New York Times bestselling Spy School series. Last year's Battle of the Books participants read Mr. Gibb's graphic novel Space Case. During his visit, Mr. Gibbs will be speaking with students in grades 3 through 6 about his latest addition to the series entitled Spy School Goes South!

Mr. Gibbs has been writing since kindergarten. Besides books, he has written screenplays for the movies See Spot Run and Repli-Kate. He has worked on many animated films such as Anastasia,Open Season 3, and Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers. He has also developed TV shows for Nickelodeon, the Disney Channel, ABC, and Fox. Mr. Gibbs lives with his family in Los Angeles.
