Lower School celebrates the 100th day of school!

Lower school students arrived Monday morning wearing gray wigs and mustaches, tweed hats, strands of pearls, reading glasses, and using canes and walkers (the inflatable kind!) to celebrate the 100th day of school.  The festivities continued throughout the day in Pre-K and Kindergarten.  In Pre-K students created craft projects by grouping objects in ten groups of ten, even their snack at snack time!  Kindergarten students were asked to bring to school 100 objects.  Students used these items in various counting and sorting games during math time.

On Tuesday morning, Pre-K led their first leadership circle of the school year.  The lower school watched a video of a book written by Margery Cuyler entitled "100th Day Worries” and discussed the Principles and Attributes demonstrated in the book.   After the discussion, Pre-K students, using their leadership voices, presented their 100th day projects to the lower school.  Examples of a few projects are 100 goldfish in a fishbowl and 100 band aids representing “I survived” 100 days of Pre-K.
