Gerstell Academy Community gathers for annual Pie Run!
On Sunday, November 19th, the Gerstell Academy community enjoyed the 22nd annual “Pie Run”, held on the campus of Gerstell Academy. Alumni, faculty, parents, students, staff, and community members gathered to compete in a 5K race or enjoy a one-mile fun run/walk with the opportunity to win pies in advance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
The weather was sunny and beautiful and perfect for the outdoor event! A new addition to this year’s Pie Run included a community car show. Cars of all makes and models filled the Alumni House parking lot as guests viewed the cars and met the owners to vote for their favorite car.

The Gerstell Academy Parent Association (GAPA) was instrumental in organizing the car show and assisting the Gerstell Physical Education department with logistics. Students also participated as course volunteers for the 5K and ensured that guests were able to navigate the cross-country terrain.
The newly formed Lower School Running Club also participated in the run, and are already making plans to run next year.
