Irvine Nature Center Visits the Lower School

What is becoming a much-anticipated annual Leadership Circle for students and faculty alike, the Lower School welcomed Emily Ludo and Dominique Montello from the Irvine Nature Center located in Owings Mills.  Ms. Ludo and Ms. Montello’s presentation of "Survival of the Fittest" instructed students on the ability of animals to use both physical and behavioral adaptations to survive and thrive.  The students met an American toad, a gray rat snake, a screech owl, and a wood turtle.  Animal artifacts, including deer antlers, a preserved raccoon, the shell of a turtle, and the pelt from a fox were also discussed and on display.
