Mrs. Lindsey Proescher celebrates her fifteenth year at Gerstell Academy. She has taken on many roles in the Lower and Middle School levels during her tenure. Mrs. Proescher was a member of the Lower School faculty for a total of ten years. She enjoyed four years teaching Pre-K and taught fourth grade for an additional six years before making the leap to teach Mathematics in Middle School. This was an exciting change for Mrs. Proescher as she is passionate about the subject of math. Her favorite concept to teach is simplifying expressions.
Besides her love of the subject of math, Mrs. Proescher is a seventh-grade advisor. She loves to mentor and lead her advisees and help them develop their study skills. By the end of the academic year, these young leaders form a special bond amongst themselves and with Mrs. Proescher. "Gerstell Academy feels like home. I am honored to work with such a talented and devoted group of colleagues and students. The Gerstell Academy Leadership Principles and Attributes continue to be a part of my everyday life, not only on campus; but outside of the Gerstell community as well," said Mrs. Proescher.
Mrs. Proescher’s other passion is her love of sports. She has coached many different teams at Gerstell devoting eight years to the Girls' JV and Varsity basketball teams. If you cannot find Mrs. Proescher in the classroom, you will most likely find her on the court.
Mrs. Proescher is also an avid fan of professional sports and loves to watch live events, whether she is bundled up to watch the Ravens or Capitals, or applying sunscreen to cheer on the Orioles.
During her free time, Mrs. Proescher enjoys long weekends on her boat with her husband Brandon and their black lab Keeper. They often find new adventures that accommodate Keeper's obsession with diving and swimming.
