Gerstell Upper School Students Serve at First Fruits Farm
Gerstell Academy’s Upper School students recently spent the day at First Fruits Farm, Inc., lending a hand to support local families in need. As part of Gerstell’s commitment to service learning, students engaged in a variety of tasks — harvesting potatoes and corn, sorting onions, and boxing bread — to help provide fresh food for area food banks.
In total, students helped harvest 18,000 pounds of potatoes, making a tangible impact on hunger relief efforts across the region. The day offered students the opportunity to work hard, support one another, and demonstrate true leadership in action while putting Gerstell’s mission of service into practice.
This meaningful day of service reflects Gerstell Academy’s dedication to developing leaders of character who serve with confidence, responsibility, and compassion.
