Tri-Sport Athlete Kylie Redman to Play Division 1 Lacrosse

Kylie Redman, a senior, has accomplished much during her four years at Gerstell Academy. She was originally drawn to Gerstell Academy because of its focus on Leadership Development; she liked being a part of a small academic community that felt like family.

In addition to being a member of the National Honor Society; the Science, Spanish, and History Honor Societies, and of the Falcon Outreach Program, Kylie is a tri-sport athlete of soccer, basketball, and lacrosse and this year, the captain of Gerstell Academy's Girls' Varsity Soccer and Basketball teams. Since sixth grade, she has played lacrosse for the Sky Walkers 22 Blue team (a top-10 team in the country), and for Central Maryland Attitude AAU and Baltimore Celtic Club Soccer teams. During her spare time, Kylie enjoys refereeing girls’ and boys’ youth soccer, weight training, and spending time with friends and family.

Kylie takes her studies quite seriously, boasting a 3.97 grade point average. She has earned several awards and accolades during her time at Gerstell, including: playing violin; All-Tournament Team Selection / Holiday Basketball Tournament; 4th Team All-Tournament / Governor’s Challenge; IAAM All-Conference Soccer Selection; Under Armor Underclass Team Baltimore; two-time UA150 selection; and Varsity Soccer Coaches Leadership Award.

She will be heading to Jacksonville University to study business in the Honors Program in the Fall and will be playing Division 1 Women's Lacrosse for the Dolphins; who are currently ranked 17th in the country.
