Samantha (Nguyen) Woolford ’14 Spreads Hope in her Profession
After graduating from Bucknell University with a Bachelor's in Psychology and two minors in Political Science and Legal Studies, Samantha Woolford ’14 went on to receive a Master's in Criminal Justice from Penn State University. While there, she was a graduate research assistant and currently has a publication under review.
Samantha recently moved to Milwaukee to pursue another graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She also just started a new position as a Family Case Manager at one of the largest children's hospitals in the country, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. With this job, she is an on-going case worker for families that have been reported to Child Protective Services. Part of her job is to facilitate positive change within the caregivers so that they can have a safe environment for their children, as well as reporting their progress in court. The main end goal is reunification between the parents and the children, however, she also provides other placement options within foster homes, group homes, residential treatment centers, or adopting families.
Hope is a Leadership Attribute Samantha is able to give the families she is working with in her current position. We know she will approach every endeavor with passion, conviction and persistence.
