Gerstell Alumni Persevering in New York City during Pandemic
Aubry Granat (Pressman), class of 2012, lives in Manhattan working in buying for Saks Off 5th in the designer sunglasses department. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 2016 with a BS in retailing and consumer science and shortly after, moved to the city. Aubry met her husband Adam in 2017; like many others they had to postpone their April 2020 wedding due to Covid. The two eloped in August with their families. While it wasn’t the 300 person wedding they had planned, they couldn’t have asked for a more special day.
The pandemic has changed Aubry’s lifestyle in many ways. She is a complete foodie and used to find herself dining out 3-4 days a week in the city. Now Aubry is experimenting in the kitchen and cooking almost all her meals at home. During quarantine, she started a food Instagram (Quarantine_Food_Queen) to keep herself busy when she found herself watching too much Netflix and Hulu. Aubry has been working from home since March and has become an expert in Zoom meetings. One of her highlights during this time is getting her adorable labradoodle puppy Winston!
Aubry and Adam are hopeful for 2021 and seeing NYC rebound. They are looking forward to traveling when safe and seeing family and friends in the near future.
