Peter Ensor, Gerstell Academy Class of 2016, is currently a junior at University of North Carolina Charlotte studying mechanical engineering with a concentration in motorsports. Peter has always had a passion for racing as early as his middle school years. He recently won the 2018 Spec MX-5 Challenge Championship earning him a $100,000 scholarship to race in the Battery Tender Global MX-5 cup in a 2019 Mazda Miata with Atlanta Speedwerks.

 

We wish Peter the best as he enters the first race of the season which will take place at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas on March 23-24 with IndyCar. He will also be racing his Spec Miata in the Hoosier Tire Super Tour, competing for the SCCA National Championship.
