Three Gerstell Girls Basketball Players Named NHSCA Academic All-Americans
Gerstell Academy proudly celebrates Kiara Hardy, Abby Redman, and Shyla Borek, standout student-athletes on the Girls Varsity Basketball team, for being named Second Team Academic All-Americans by the National High School Coaches Association (NHSCA). This prestigious honor recognizes their exceptional performance in both the classroom and on the court.
To earn this recognition, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.6 GPA and contribute significantly to their varsity teams. The NHSCA Academic All-American program is a national distinction reserved for students who exemplify academic excellence and competitive integrity in high school athletics.

Kiara, Abby, and Shyla were integral members of the 2024 IAAM B Conference Championship team and have continued to lead as core members and captains of the 2024–2025 varsity squad.
