After completing a rigorous set of academic, leadership and social requirements, 34 Middle School students who completed the Dr. Smith’s Summer Founder’s Leadership Challenge enjoyed lunch with Dr. Smith and the Middle School administration at Sakura Japanese Steakhouse in Westminster.
The purpose of the voluntary challenge is to expose students to new leadership and social environments that they have not yet experienced. Studentswrite an essay detailing their experience, read several books, submit book reports and take part in a leadership experience that challenges students to try something new. The experience should be educational in nature, and may include a historical, cultural or experiential component.
Congratulations to the 34 Middle School students who met the challenge!
