Lovellette attends College in Greece, Runs Trifecta
Ron and Pat Lovellette (Adam's grandparents)
Adam Lovellette, class of 2018, began his first semester of college by participating in Northeastern University’s N.U.in Program by attending The American College of Thessaloniki in Greece. This program was created for students who seek a challenging academic experience with an international edge.
Students generally return from their time abroad more adventurous and ambitious, bolder, intellectually curious, reflective, and independent. They share a passion for the world and tend to thrive in their community. N.U.in students are well prepared for translating their knowledge into marketable assets throughout college and beyond.
While in Greece, Adam was accepted to participate in The Sparta Beast Trifecta World Championship based on his participation in the Spartan races he had completed in the U.S. over the past few years. For the first time, Trifecta finishers from around the world joined together to complete their journey to Sparta for the championship. During three races, participants ran past the tomb of Menelaus, through the waters of Eurotas, and finished in front of Leonidas to find glory in the ancient homeland of the Spartans. Adam finished 3rd in his age group (19-24) - 59th overall in the2018 Trifecta World Championship held in Sparta Greece. This is quite a feat since there were hundreds of participants. He trains hard for these events, which build confidence, good health, and muscle.
Adam will return home for the holidays and begin his second semester at Northeastern University in Boston. Gerstell Academy was - and always will be - home to him. Rarely do you witness a young man leave every day to go to school with a smile on his face, yet Adam did, and he seemed to enjoy everything about Gerstell.
