5th Annual Alumni Golf Tournament rounds out Homecoming Weekend 2026

Alumni, faculty, students and friends gathered at Piney Branch Golf Course once again for a day of friendly competition, connection, and school spirit at Gerstell Academy’s 5th Annual Alumni Golf Tournament.  The tournament served as more than just a golf outing. It was an opportunity for alumni to reconnect with classmates, share memories, and strengthen their ties to the Gerstell Academy community.

Throughout the day, golfers enjoyed competitive play, plenty of laughs, and opportunities to catch up with former classmates and teachers. The event highlighted the enduring relationships that define the Gerstell experience and underscored the importance of staying engaged with the school community after graduation.

In addition to the competition on the course, participants enjoyed lunch, refreshments during play, and time to share updates and life experiences. The evening culminated with a bar-b-que dinner and awards.  Gerstell Academy President Connor Eline ‘12 and his foursome, once again took top honors, with the team of Rick Estes, Kamden Estes, Mike Shipley and Nick Prell taking second place.  Zach Zouita took home honors from the putting contest, while Kamden Estes won the chipping contest.  Dan Gourley hit the longest drive, while Nick Wilson ’15 and Tom Lawry rounded out the winners with closest to the pin honors.

Gerstell Academy remains committed to fostering lifelong connections with its alumni, and events such as the Annual Alumni Golf Tournament play an important role in strengthening those relationships. The tournament continues as a highlight of the fall and reflects the strong sense of community and pride that alumni carry with them long after their time on campus.

As another successful tournament comes to a close, participants are already looking forward to next year’s event and the chance to once again come together in the spirit of friendship, competition, and Falcon pride.
