Carroll County's Cold Weather Shelter Expresses Appreciation to Gerstell
Gerstell has received a warm thanks from the Cold Weather Shelter in Carroll County after our Upper School Falcon Outreach members hosted a Thanksgiving food drive to benefit them. After Founder's Day and its accompanied Thanksgiving assembly on November 20, students and faculty participated in a race to "Stuff the Bus" with donated food from home. The bus was then driven to the Human Services Programs of Carroll County in Westminster as part of its Food Sunday. Falcon Outreach expresses its appreciation to families and faculty who generously donated to this cause. How wonderful we made an immediate impact on our community!
"Thank you for the fabulous donation of breakfast items for the Cold Weather Shelter guests!" wrote Clare Kazyak, Program Coordinator. "We immediately put these to use at the shelter and some of the items went out the door with guests. They always appreciate being able to choose specific food items to take as they leave each morning. We witness many smiles as they pick favorite items or flavors. Thank you again."
