Thomas Gives Back Through Flowers for Power
Lexi Thomas, Gerstell sophomore, and her friend, Abby Levin, founded the non-profit organization, Flowers for Powers, five years ago following the loss of two loved ones. The girls began arranging flowers in coffee mugs and hand-delivering them to a local nursing care facility in Reisterstown. From that action, Lexi and Abby were inspired to continue the cause to bring joy to others, especially children and adults with cancer. This organization works with many organizations, such as GBMC, ALS Foundation, Hope Lodge Cancer Center, Ronald McDonald House, and others. The Gerstell community is proud of Lexi for sharing her time, talents and treasures and for making the world a better place.
