Lower School Students Complete Patriot Challenge
In order to augment their study of our great nation's founding, the fourth-grade students were challenged to compete in the Patriot Challenge. The students must successfully memorize and present parts of the following historical documents:
- An excerpt from Common Sense by Thomas Paine
- Selected stanzas from The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
- An excerpt from Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty or give me death!" speech
- The Preamble to The Declaration of Independence
- The Preamble to The U.S. Constitution
We wish to congratulate the students pictured for successfully completing the Patriot Challenge. These students were treated to a very special lunch at Chuck E. Cheese by our Founder, Dr. Frederick G. Smith. Mrs. Mary Ann Zito, Associate Director of Admissions was also present to assist and celebrate this special occasion.
