After graduating, Sydnie attended Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania, where she majored in Early Childhood and Special Education, minored in Psychology, and played Division II Women’s Lacrosse, earning an NCAA bid for the four years she played. Her team won its conference championship in 2016. In her fifth year at Mercyhurst, she received a Masters Degree in Special Education with a concentration in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis.

Sydnie continued her love of athletics and fitness by joining CrossFit during college to supplement lacrosse training. She began training competitively in 2020 and trains at Execution Athletics in Eldersburg, competing year-round in CrossFit competitions and qualifiers. She took CrossFit Level I Trainer Certification to work as a coach at Execution Athletics, able to coach classes and train athletes/teams to help them take their sports to the next level.

Sydnie is a Special Education teacher in the autism program at Winfield Elementary School in Carroll County.
