Gerstell Academy is an independent, co-educational, non-sectarian college preparatory school for students entering Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12.  As the first leadership school established in Maryland, Gerstell Academy is devoted to developing leadership skills with an emphasis on physical fitness and the mastery of fundamental knowledge in a traditional college preparatory curriculum.  Gerstell’s leadership-based program develops moral values, social skills, manners, and critical thinking in tomorrow’s citizens, while promoting rigorous academics.  The four pillars of a Gerstell education include: Leadership, College Preparatory Academics, Physical Training, and Modern Language Proficiency.

 

Gerstell Academy Upper School is seeking a full-time Strength and Conditioning instructor.  This full-time position includes teaching students in grades 9 – 12.  Duties will include teaching Gerstell Academy’s Mission, Motto, Leadership Principles and Attributes and serving as a Physical Education and Athletic Department member.  The Ideal candidate will hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree and an NSCA CSCS and USAW sports performance certificate. The desired candidate will be able to teach Strength and Conditioning as a vehicle to teach leadership education, critical thinking skills, and character development.
