Middle School Hosts Children's History Challenge
Posted 04/19/2018 09:06AM

On Friday, April 13th, 15 Gerstell Academy middle school students competed in the annual Children's History Challenge. The entire program was developed by Mr. Stephen Olszewski, Chairman of the History Department. Three teams, consisting of five students each answered a variety of questions designed to challenge students to learn from those children who lived very different though out history. For example, the students learned about Kory Johnson from Arizona who became an environmentalist after her sister died from drinking contaminated tap water.

The students studied after school, in the evenings, and on weekends in order to prepare for the competition.
