5th Grade students enjoy "Manners Luncheon"
Posted 11/17/2017 02:36PM

5th Grade students enjoyed a delicious luncheon of chicken noodle soup, caesar salad, and a choice of entrees while demonstrating their manners and social skills. Dessert was a hot fudge brownie sundae, served by parents of 5th grade students.

The annual luncheon follows a manners/social skills unit in the library taught by librarian Ms. Katie Menges.

The students commented that they learned to keep their elbows off of the table, be sure to converse with their table partners after every three bites, and carefully place their knlfe and fork on the plate to signal meal completion. They also learned how to converse politely at the table.
