On a beautiful sunny afternoon, a heated contest took place between the 4th grade students and their teachers and administration. The studentswere coached by their 4th grade classmate Kyle. Kyle’s enthusiasm was palpable as he cheered on his teammates. The bleachers were filled with fellow lower school students in PreK through 3rd grade, chanting and encouraging their classmates and teachers. On the turf, Nathan and Reed shared pitching duties, Kendall stood tall on 1st base and Lou and Cash were the kings of catching pop flies. The students used elaborate hand signals and code words to communicate while on the field but did not have an answer for Coach Celenza and his powerful Baltimore Blast kick! After sixty minutes of play, the lower school faculty prevailed with a score of 12-3. Although the 4th grade lost, after the game, Conor said it best, “We lost, but we learned.”
Third grade, start practicing now! Let’s beat the faculty next year!
