Record Turnout for Falcon Summer Baseball School

The Gerstell Academy Falcon Summer Baseball School returned for its ninth summer season with its highest registration of participants ever, proving to be one of the most popular summer camps in Gerstell’s history. Students ages 7 to 14 are invited to learn and develop the fundamentals of baseball and enjoy an opportunity to compete in team and individual competitions during week-long sessions.
The camp attracts many players because of its top-notch coaching staff. Cap Poklemba, aka “Coach P,” brings over 30 years of playing and coaching experience to the diamond. He played Division I baseball at Temple University where he earned honors as Rookie of the Year as their starting shortstop. He has served as Gerstell's Varsity Baseball coach for many years, was Gerstell’s first Athletic Director, and continues to teach, mentor, and coach students in a myriad of sports.
Coach P led our 2019 Varsity Baseball team to victory by defeating Boys Latin School in the MIAA Championship. His passion for working with young aspiring athletes is unparalleled. We wish to thank and recognize Coach Poklemba and these assistants for mentoring our camp participants:
