Nicole Finkel, Gerstell Academy Class of 2016, graduated from George Washington University in December 2019 with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Creative Writing. Nicole will be attending graduate school at Johns Hopkins University where she will be studying Global Security. Nicole is looking forward to taking on this new educational endeavor with the intention of building a strong foundation for her envisioned career path in National Security and Cyber Law.

 

In Summer of 2018, Nicole had the opportunity to intern for the Office of Governor Hogan as a member of the communications team. This experience inspired her passion towards social media marketing, which she now has made into a job that she can do parallel to school. Nicole works with GAIN, a government affairs networking organization, and is in charge of controlling all their social media platforms and promoting their networking events. She also does social media and marketing for Sparksoft Corporation, a government contracting firm. This spring, Nicole will add substitute teaching at Gerstell Academy to her list of jobs. She is excited to be back within the Gerstell community.
