Kathy Seymour has been a part of Gerstell Academy for four years as an All School Receptionist. After earning an Early Childhood degree from Towson University, Mrs. Seymour tutored in the Carroll County Public School system. Her next position lasted 12 years as Assistant Director of a Howard County pre-school. Thrilled to be a part of the Gerstell family, Mrs. Seymour says she enjoys interaction with students, parents, and "the wonderful faculty and staff." Her favorite hobbies are gardening, reading, exercising, sailing, and watching soccer and baseball. She loves to spend time on the beach and is also an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens.

 

Her favorite portrait leaders are the Wright Brothers. After visiting North Carolina, she came to appreciate the goals they pursued and the incredible effort expended to realize their dreams. This Wright Brothers quote has impacted Mrs. Seymour: "It is not really necessary to look too far into the future; we see enough already to be certain it will be magnificent."

 

Mrs. Seymour and her husband Michael have lived in Carroll County for 33 years They have two sons, Kevin and Patrick. Patrick was married in October.
