Members of the Gerstell faculty infuse leadership development into every course they teach, every sport they coach, and every co-curricular activity they sponsor. As a result, Gerstell students mature into positive leaders of character.
Gerstell Academy is seeking an inspiring, engaging, and encouraging Leadership teacher for the 2023-2024 academic year, with leadership experience and the capacity to teach upper school Leadership (grades 9 through 12). Possible courses include: Leadership and Human Behavior, Applied Ethics, Organizational Leadership, and Leadership and Change. Duties will include teaching the Mission, Motto, Principles and Attributes, teaching Leadership courses, curriculum mapping, serving as a student advisor, and other duties as assigned or needed to develop school programs. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Psychology or Philosophy. Prior teaching experience and certification is preferred. The desired candidate will be able to teach Leadership as an academic course, and as a vehicle to teach leadership education, critical thinking skills, and character development.
