Current Events Club Hosts Venezuelan Refugee/Dissident

On Tuesday, March 19th, the Gerstell Academy Upper School Current Events Club welcomed Daniel Di Martino, a Venezuelan refugee, and the founder of the Dissident Project, a non-profit which educates students around the country on the consequences of socialism Mr. DiMartino is a PhD candidate at Columbia University, and graduate fellow at the Manhattan Institute.

Lower School visits the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra!

On Thursday, April 4th, the entire lower school boarded multiple Gerstell Academy buses for a field trip to see the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra perform Philharmonia Fantastique: The Making of the Orchestra. The centerpiece of this program is Philharmonia Fantastique: a 25-minute concerto and animated film that follows a magical Sprite on a musical journey through the instruments of the orchestra. By the film’s end, the families of the orchestra overcome their differences to demonstrate “unity from diversity” in a spectacular finale.

Rho Kappa Travels to Annapolis

On Thursday, March 21st, the Gerstell Academy History Honor Society, Rho Kappa, traveled to Annapolis for a guided tour of the State House, and an opportunity to sit in the Senate gallery and watch the legislative proceedings.
