Upper School History
World History I 9th Grade (Required)
This survey course will cover the history of human interaction and development from pre-historic times until the Industrial Revolution. Special attention will be given to government, geography, science, religion and the role and view of children over time and place.
World History II 10th Grade (Required)
This survey course will cover the history of human interaction and development from the Industrial Revolution until the present time. Special attention will be given to government, geography, science, religion and the role and view of children over time and place.
US History 11th Grade (Required)
This course will cover the history of human interaction in North America through the end of the American Civil War. Special attention will be given to the development of our American form of government with its emphasis on liberty and democracy.
The role and view of children over time and place will also be emphasized.
US History 12th Grade (Elective)
This course will cover the history of our country from reconstruction to the present. The development of the United States as a world power will be given special attention.
The changing views of children and families will also be given special emphasis.
