Students will gain in their ability to make meaningful connections between the past and the present and to consider the implications for the future .Students are asked to consider history's impact on their lives and the parallels between the events of the past and the lives they lead today. Over time, students will be able to discern the underlying dynamic tensions and competing value orientations that have shaped this nation's history.
