Lower School - First Grade

Welcome to First Grade where opportunities for learning and leadership abound!

Our students are exposed to an accelerated traditional curriculum enhanced with art, computers, music, physical education, science, and Spanish. Students participate in an integrated curriculum where independent thinking is promoted and encouraged. Phonics is a critical element in the language arts program. Emphasis is placed on encoding and decoding words. Reading is key to unlocking the wonder of this important foundational year.
