Middle and Upper School Opportunities

1. Upper School History Teacher

 

Gerstell Academy seeks an Upper School History Teacher with leadership experience for the 2013-2014 academic year. This full-time position includes teaching students in grades nine through twelve. Duties will include teaching the Gerstell Mission, Motto, Principles and Attributes, teaching History and Government courses, committee work, curriculum mapping, serving as a student advisor, and other duties as assigned or needed to develop the overall program at Gerstell Academy. The ideal candidate will have prior leadership and teaching experience in the upper school with the ability to teach courses in United States History, World History, and Government. The candidate must be able to teach History as an academic course and as a vehicle to teach leadership education and character development.

2. Upper/Middle School English Teacher

 

Gerstell Academy seeks an Upper/Middle School English Teacher with leadership experience for the 2013-2014 academic year. This full-time position includes teaching students in grades six through twelve. Duties will include teaching the Gerstell Mission, Motto, Principles and Attributes, teaching English courses, committee work, curriculum mapping, serving as student advisor, and other duties as assigned or needed to develop the Middle School and Upper School programs. The ideal candidate will have prior leadership and teaching experience in the middle and upper school with the ability to teach literature based English courses with an emphasis on grammar and writing. The candidate must be able to teach English as an academic course and as a vehicle to teach leadership education and character development.

Athletic Coaching Opportunities

 

1. Physical Education Teacher/Coach:

Gerstell Academy is seeking a dynamic individual to join the Physical Education/Athletic Department. Candidates should have Physical Education teaching experience at various age levels and should also have experience coaching multiple sports. Candidates will be expected to teach multiple PE classes ranging from Pre-K through upper school. There will also be expectations to coach multiple sports, specifically soccer, basketball and lacrosse. Please submit resume to:

2. Varsity Girls Soccer Coach:

Gerstell Academy is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Athletic Department and lead our Varsity Girls Soccer program. Candidates must have extensive soccer background and experience coaching at the high school level. Connections with local club and travel programs is a plus.
