Students who have demonstrated outstanding capability and subject mastery, and have completed the course requirements of a particular subject may have to option to take an on-campus or online course for college credit. Currently, this option is available with Carroll Community College. Students must follow appropriate and timely procedures before each semester in which he or she plans to take courses at Carroll Community College.
Students who are considering this option of extending their studies beyond Gerstell need to understand the importance of fully committing to this endeavor. Only students with a consistently strong GPA (3.5 recommended) and who have demonstrated a maturity in academic performance should consider concurrent enrollment.
Concurrent enrollment will be considered for math, science, history, English, and Spanish. Scheduling, as well as other requirements, will be considered as part of the approval schedule. Parents are responsible for reimbursement to Gerstell Academy for the cost of the course completed with a grade less than a "B." Reimbursement is also required for any course not completed.
