The Gerstell Academy faculty and staff work cooperatively to serve as role models for the entire school community. All functions of school operation provide learning opportunities for Gerstell Academy students. Faculty and staff will mentor, teach, and challenge Gerstell Academy students to grow into roles of greater responsibility. System Specialist

Gerstell Academy seeks a self motivated individual to be part of its technology department as a Systems Specialist. The applicant should possess working knowledge of computer hardware and software, have strong written and verbal communication skills, have experience working with students, be a strong team player, be familiar with Apple iOS and PC based educational apps and knowledge of network protocols, and ports. (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, POP, IMAP, SMTP, FTP, etc.)Duties include Helpdesk technical support, server management support, school website support, faculty support, and other duties as assigned. Bachelor's Degree and experience with Student Information System (SIS) database management and learning management system (LMS) preferred. CompTIA A+ and/or other certifications desired. Technology Instructor

Gerstell Academy is seeking a Technology Instructor whose main responsibilities will include teaching information technology classes, to provide professional development to the faculty and staff, and to support the technology department with various duties as assigned. Experience working with faculty and students is desired. The applicant should also possess strong skills in the administration of Office 365 and Google Education Applications and have a strong understanding of emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience, and/or industry activities. Middle/Upper School

Mathematics Instructor

Gerstell Academy is seeking a Mathematics teacher for the 2017-18 academic year with leadership experience and capable of teaching, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus and Probability & Statistics. Gerstell Academy is a private, co-educational, non-sectarian, college preparatory leadership school based on the value system defined by the Gerstell Academy Mission, Motto, Principles and Attributes. This full-time position includes teaching students in grades six through twelve. Duties will include teaching the Mission, Motto, Principles and Attributes, teaching mathematics courses, committee work, curriculum mapping, serving as a student advisor, and other duties as assigned or needed to develop school programs. Prior teaching experience is strongly preferred. The desired candidate will be able to teach Mathematics as an academic course and as a vehicle to teach leadership education and character development. Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities

A bus driver for Gerstell Academy must have good communication skills, be able to work effectively as a team member and with students of all ages, and adhere to the Leadership principles and policies of the school. The driver must be able to complete vehicle pre and post trip inspections, comply with all the DOT and MVA standards that apply, including a criminal background check, random Drug and Alcohol Testing, Medical examination/certification, and routine Driving Record background checks.

Furthermore, the driver must follow all safety policies and emergency procedures, including an ability to safely adhere to all route schedules; must be able to communicate schedule changes weeks in advance and be flexible during on duty periods to cover transportation requests.

Additional Requirements:
Submit to Driver Monitoring Program.
Participate in weekly transportation safety and staff meetings.
Supervise students after lower school dismissal (30min)
Positive, flexible attitude, willing to jump in and help where needed.
Other duties, as assigned by the Director of Transportation, or President of the School.

Preferred Skills:
Three years professional driving experience (buses or 15 passenger vans) preferred; will train to Commercial Driver's License standards with School Bus, Air Brakes, and Passenger endorsements.

Additional Notes:
Set Schedule: Weekdays (School Days) 2:45pm-5:00pm
Flexibility: Field Trips and Athletic Events vary, but can include morning or evening routes and the occasional Saturday; Back-up availability to cover absences for the morning route 5:45am-8:30am.
