Christopher “Cap” Poklemba

Mr. Poklemba serves Gerstell Academy as Director of Athletics.

He is a recent graduate of Temple University where he earned a degree in Sports Management. Most notably, Cap is one of the few athletes to compete as a Division 1 athlete in two collegiate sports; baseball and football. He earned Sporting News Football All Conference honors for two consecutive years. Additionally, he earned All Big East Football Conference honors for his last two years in college.

Cap has the distinguished honor to serve as the first student athlete to be named to Temple University’s Board of Directors.

A graduate of McDonogh School, Cap and his wife reside in Carroll County.
