Christopher “Cap” Poklemba

Cap Poklemba serves Gerstell Academy as Director of Athletics.

Mr. Poklemba is a graduate of Temple University where he earned a degree in Sports Management. Most notably, Mr. Poklemba is one of the few athletes to compete as a Division 1 athlete in two collegiate sports; baseball and football.

He earned Sporting News Football All Conference honors for two consecutive years. Additionally, he earned All Big East Football Conference honors for his last two years at Temple.

Mr. Poklemba has the distinguished honor to have served as the first student athlete to be named to Temple University’s Board of Directors and is expected to be inducted into the McDonogh School Athletic Hall Of Fame in Fall of 2009.

A graduate of McDonogh School, Cap and his family reside in Carroll County.
