Christopher “Cap” Poklemba

Cap Poklemba serves Gerstell Academy as Director of Athletics.

Mr. Poklemba is a graduate of Temple University where he earned a degree in Sport and Recreation Management. Most notably, Mr. Poklemba is one of the few athletes to compete as a Division 1 athlete in two collegiate sports; baseball and football.

He earned Sporting News Football All Conference honors for two consecutive years and was selected as a member of the 2002 All Big East All Conference team as a placekicker for Temple.

Mr. Poklemba was inducted into the McDonogh School Athletic Hall Of Fame in 2009. He also currently serves as the Chairperson for the MIAA Cross Country committee.

A graduate of McDonogh School, Cap and his daughter reside in Carroll County.
