Ana Lombardo

Ana Lombardo serves Gerstell Academy as a Middle and Upper School Spanish Classroom Leader, as well as Co-Chair of the Spanish Department. Mrs. Lombardo also developed the Middle School Spanish Curriculum at Gerstell. She is the co-sponsor for the Upper School International Club.

Ms. Lombardo graduated from Universidad Nacional Enrique Guzman y Valle in Peru with a Bachelors Ana Lombardoof Arts degree in Education. Mrs. Lombardo, as a member of AATSP (American Association ofTeachers of Spanish and Portuguese), completed professional development training under this organization this summer in Costa Rica. She is also a member of the MFLA (Maryland Foreign Language Association) as well as ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages).Ms. Lombardo graduated from Universidad Nacional Enrique Guzman y Valle in Peru with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Education.

Born and raised in Lima, Peru, Mrs. Lombardo has lived in the United States for over 29 years and her native language is Spanish. Mrs. Lombardo is also an enthusiast of the Italian language. She is a bilingual professional with extensive teaching and business experience within international banking, real estate, and consulting.

Mrs. Lombardo loves teaching Spanish at Gerstell Academy and she believes that learning about different cultures is a vital part of the language learning process; this is her fourth year at Gerstell Academy. She had developed and taught the Spanish curriculum at St. Stephen's in New Jersey and worked as Middle School Spanish Coordinator for the Bethesda International School in Bethesda, MD.

Mrs. Lombardo resides in Carroll County with her family.
