Amy Funk

Amy Funk serves Gerstell Academy as Assistant Head of Lower School.

Ms. Funk graduated magna cum laude from Towson State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education. She completed a Master’s Equivalency in Clinical Psychology at Loyola College and earned an Advanced Professional Certificate from the Maryland State Department of Education.

She has 10 years experience teaching at the secondary level, with extensive experience in academic and non profit environments. Her energy and commitment to Gerstell Academy is evident and she is an example for her students and colleagues as the first recipient of the President’s Award as most representative of Gerstell Academy’s Leadership Principles and Attributes.

She is the proud mother of a Gerstell student and an avid marathon runner.
