Yania Martinez

Yania Martinez serves Gerstell Academy as the Lower School Spanish teacher.

Yania Martinez graduated from the accredited “Felix Varela” Higher Pedagogic Institute in Cuba with both a Bachelor's and Masters degree of Licentiate in Education with a specialty in Chemistry. She also completed a teacher training program which included teaching practices and concepts. Since graduation, Mrs. Martinez has worked in the field of education for over 19 years, 11 of which were in the field of foreign language instruction in Spanish.

Mrs. Martinez has been a faculty member at Gerstell Academy since 2008.

Ms. Martinez resides with her family in Baltimore County.
