Debra Leathers

Debra Leathers serves Gerstell Academy as a Middle and Upper School mathematics instructor. She also coordinates the Upper School Math Lab, and serves as 9th grade Advisor. During the summer she is an instructor for Johns Hopkins University, Center for Talented Youth.

Mrs. Leathers attended Illinois Wesleyan University and Western Maryland College. Prior to teaching at Gerstell, she taught in Baltimore County Public Schools. She has collaborated with the Space Telescope Institiute, and SIMT( Mathematics, NSA and AACPS) in developing online lessons in mathematics and science for educators.

Mrs. Leathers resides in Carroll County with her family.
