Deborah Doyle
Deborah Doyle serves Gerstell Academy as Middle and Upper School Spanish Classroom Leader, as well as Co-Chair of the Spanish Department.
Mrs. Doyle graduated with a graduate degree in Spanish Linguistics from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Secondary Education from
University of Maryland, College Park with time spent in Madrid, Spain her Junior year.
Mrs. Doyle's experience includes teaching all levels of Spanish, including Advanced Placement at Mt. Hebron High School and have been World Languages Resource Teacher for Howard County Public Schools. In addition, she spent five years directing a professional development schools program where she served as liaison between UMBC and Howard County Schools. Mrs. Doyle is also affiliated with the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (National Spanish Honor Society) and serve as State Director.
Ms. Doyle was honored as Maryland Language Educator of the Year in 2008, has presented at the national and local levels at language conferences, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Maryland Foreign Language Association.
Mrs. Doyle resides in Howard County with her family.
