Carolyn Cherry

Carolyn Cherry serves Gerstell Academy as our Librarian/Media Specialist.

Mrs. Cherry collaborates with her sister Mrs. Laudeman, in teaching the drama and dance course for the Gerstell's Middle School students.

Mrs. Cherry received her Bachelor's degree from Salisbury State College and her Master's degree from McDaniel College.

Carolyn also serves as a substitute librarian for the Carroll County Public Library, and has worked with the public library system since 1989. A former professional dancer, Mrs. Cherry has danced with the Cultural Arts Institute in Baltimore and the Cub Hill Cloggers

Ms. Cherry is married to twig furniture maker Mark Cherry and has two children, Nelson, who is in the Air Force, and Claire, currently in college.

Ms. Cherry and her family live in Carroll County with their chihuahua Nellie and labrador retrievers Caldecott and Newbery.
