Carol Schmoeller

Carole Schmoeller serves as one of Gerstell Academy's Physical Education Leaders for our Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools. In addition, Ms. Schmoeller will be the Assistant Basketball Coach and Head Lacrosse Coach at Gerstell. Ms. Schmoeller is also Assistant volleyball Coach at McDaniel College as well.

Ms. Schmoeller received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Human Studies from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and her Masters of Science degree in Exercise Science from McDaniel College. She is also a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Personal Trainer.

Previous to coming to Gerstell, Ms. Schmoeller served St. Mary's College of Maryland as Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach from 2006-2008. Lead 2008 team to the NCAA tournament, and was named Co-Coach of the Year in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) for 2008.

As a student athlete, Ms. Schmoeller was a four year starter on the volleyball team (1 year Captain) and lacrosse team (2 year Captain). She was two-time first team All-American and was the 2004 CAC Player of the Year. She continues to direct and work with various lacrosse camps throughout the country.

Ms. Schmoeller currently resides in Carroll County.
